What type of writer am I...

When it comes to writing, I wouldn't know how to describe myself. I guess I can start off by saying I am a crtical thinker who enjoys writing poetry, essays, research papers, etc. The easiest thing about writing is revising due to me actually looking forward to the feedback on what I could do to improve my writing so that I could progress as an even stronger writer. The most difficult part of writing is putting my ideas on paper, limiting how much I am going to write about, and trying to be straight forward and concise so that I do not lose my audience. The best way to keep me focused is if I am working under certain conditions: complete silence (unless when I need soothing music to motivate me); I need to be alone because being around others will tempt me to start conversation. Others conditions would be I need something to eat and drink because the more I think, the hungrier I become; an lastly I have to be in my own room so that I am avoiding all types of distratcions that could catch my attention, especially the different types of technologies. These conditions help me to stay focused, incorporate new ideas, keep my energy level high, motivate me as well as keep in mind my determination to finsh and finish well. When I am distracted, my focus have been breached and I am no longer thinking of ideas to help enhance my writing, but about that technology and whose causing it to become a distraction.
I know for a fact, the biggest influence on my writing is the subject that I am assigned to write about. For example, if I'm writing about something that I wouldn't ordinarily have chosen myself or if it doesn't appeal to me, I would tend to be less motivated and it probably wouldn't be my best work. I would most likely lean towards a passing grade rather than my usual, an "A." If another person was to observe my writing, they would notice my facts, statistics, opinion, and how persuasive I could be. I would have my audience visualize themselves in my own experiences or scenarios in order for them to understand where I stand on certain situations.
The process that I take in order to have a successful paper are:
  1. Brainstorm Ideas
  2. Outline
  3. Research
  4. 1st draft
  5. Self- Revision
  6. 2nd draft
  7. Peer- Revision
  8. Self- Revision
  9. Final Draft
